I have the latest GarageBand and have the latest driver (2.9.2.49805), according to the universal control. But that dream soon dwindled, as I found out the iOS updates for these iPads ended at 9.3.5, and when trying to download Garageband from App Store, it would not install unless iOS 10 was installed. Install garageband on ipad 2. I'm a Norwegian music teacher just starting at a new school where they have been lucky to get hold of ten iPad 2's. I immediately thought to myself: YES, thinking of the possibilities one could use the iPads in the music subject, more precisely using Garageband. Maybe I should have asked Apple directly, but I was very interested in hearing what advice you might have. This was such a letdown.
